I was always wondering how it would be to photograph wedding in my own family back home?...until my cousin asked me to be her wedding photographer. I have to admit that my first thought was, no way!;)I want to enjoy that wedding as a guest not a wedding photographer but after a few second without hesitation I agreed. I must say that it was one of the best decisions I made as a wedding photographer. It was a real pleasure to capture traditional Polish wedding especially for someone in my close family.
Since this was a traditional Polish/Silesian wedding there was a lot of events during the whole day. Starting from bride preparation, bride buyout where husband has to "buy" his future wife from her family home by offering some gifts, ideally very expensive;) church wedding ceremony, wedding gate - another Polish tradition where neighbours of young couple stop them on the way to church and all these are followed by wedding reception with lots of food, drinks, dances until early morning hours :) This is in very brief Polish wedding and below you can see wedding pictures from that day, hope you enjoy it.
